No one had ever explained alignment to me.

Have you understood how important alignment is?

Is it important how I stand?
YES
Is it important how I sit?
INDEED, yes!
Does slouching have long-term side effects?
FOR SURE
What about feeling like I can't sit straight?
Oh, ya , that was me!
Pelvic alignment? What is that?
Yes, vital for NO PAIN!
Foot alignment?
Oh, boy! Feet affect, knees, hips, spine!
Knee alignment?
Gracious! Knees need gentle care.
Is it hard to learn?
Logical, easy to learn, fast results.

START
There is always a beginning
IT ALL STARTED with a small pain in my left groin that grew to be a terrible, angry pain when sitting, crouching, walking, and lying. I was packing, getting ready for our trip to Canada. I needed to get it done so we could leave the next day. My husband was helping and we did get it done. I was so relieved. BUT, the pain in my groin had been growing and growing and I was adamantly ignoring it. I was sure it would go away. BUT, it did not. The PAIN got so, so bad that I was throwing up, diarrhea and simply crying with groin pain and pain in my abdomen.
ME
How I felt
I felt like I was ruining the whole trip.
What if we had to cancel and lose our tickets?
I felt terrified that the pain would come back.
I was devastated that my body would do this? Why?
I felt so guilty. I should have been able to stop this. Surely?!
What was I doing wrong?
YOU
How do you feel?
Have you ever been in a place of extreme pain?

And didn't know what else you could do to get rid of it?

Do you sometimes feel like it is all your fault? But why?

Have you ever experienced overwhelming fear that your pain will never go away?
I thought being fit and doing lots of exercise would prevent this kind of pain.
I never knew that optimal body alignment, pelvic alignment, knee alignment, foot alignment could fix this kind of pain.
...then
Something always happens...
THEN I WENT for a walk with my husband on this gorgeous beach in Latvia. It was evening. We were going to watch the sunset on the sea. No one was on this secluded beach.
I had a little pain all day. But not much. While walking, this pain got worse and worse.
I couldn't walk anymore. I was nauseated. I was desperate. I couldn't take one more step. My husband had to leave to get the car, a 20 minute walk away.
ME
Despair
The sun had gone down.
I was all alone on the beach.
I had horrible pain.
I had left my cell phone in the cabin.
I was crying.
I felt hopeless and useless.
YOU
Despair
Have you ever felt hopeless because of pain?
Have you ever felt alone, like no one understands?
Have you ever been in such horrible pain that you
thought it was best to just end everything?
and oh, no
in desperation we try something, anything...

ME
What I did
I PICKED UP A ROCK from the sand, flung myself down on a large rectangular piece of driftwood and jabbed the rock into my left pelvis, and lay on it.

Hoping, hoping...
about 10 minutes later I had relief.

WOW!
It's muscular.
It's alignment.
The rock, must have put pressure on the tightness, the spasm,
whatever it was and released it!

That created a change in alignment.
I had never heard that.
No one had ever said it could be an alignment issue.
They, all the medical professionals I had consulted had never spoken about alignment as a solution.
They say: "You can get shots, you can get Botox, you can get nerve blocks, you can get medication. There is nothing you can do."
They never even suggested seeing a PT. They often say, "I don't know what else we can do. The MRI's, the Ultrasounds, the blood tests don't show anything that would give you such pain." That was a relief but no help for the pain.
Many training systems and exercise programs, even yoga programs ignore body alignment, pelvic alignment, knee alignment, foot alignment and end up causing destructive results in our bodies.
They help one thing BUT at the cost of another.
They can be dangerous for our long-term health.
